-Studied portrait painting at Louisiana Porcelain Art School, Porcelain Art School South, Southwest Porcelain Artist PowWow, and Virginia Douglas School of Art on Porcelain.

-Studied painting at Georgia Seminars by the Sea. 

-Began teaching portrait classes in 2004.

-Although Elaine paints other subjects, her first love is painting portraits, endeavoring to capture the likenesses on porcelain and excitedly watching them come to life.
